A normal, boring country sounds pretty good right now, doesn’t it? The artist Christoph Niemann visited one for an illustrated story we published back in March. It’s a nice change of pace, as are the other gems collected below — from Sam Anderson on Weird Al to Irina Aleksander on the inexorable rise of sweatpants.
