February focuses on women's sports, with basketball records of past and present coming to the forefront of the conversation, and teams and athletes looking for the chance to represent their countries in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Highlights of the Month

Sabrina Ionescu

was the top trending person related to NBA All-Star weekend

Sabrina Ionescu and Stephen Curry went head-to-head in the first ever WNBA vs. NBA competition during NBA All-Star Weekend. Curry narrowly edged out Ionescu, scoring 29 to her 26. Searches for "steph vs sabrina 3 point contest" spiked +4,000% on YouTube during the month.

Super Bowl

reached an all-time high in search interest

The 2024 Super Bowl matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs took place on February 11th in Las Vegas, NV. With their 25-22 OT victory, the Chiefs became the first team in 20 years to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Beach soccer

was searched more than ever before globally

The 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup took place in Dubai from February 15-25. Sixteen teams competed in the tournament, with Brazil ultimately coming out on top to claim their sixth Beach Soccer World Cup title.

Women's College Basketball 🏀

Searches for NCAA Division I Women's College Basketball "record" and "most" reached all-time highs in the US in February 2024.
