The NCAA Division I Women's National Championship game was the top trending sports match in April. South Carolina capped off their perfect season with a title, the third for head coach Dawn Staley. The game set viewership records and was more searched (and more watched) than the men's national championship game.
The Masters Tournament
Scottie Scheffler earned his second green jacket, winning the 88th Masters by four strokes. Prior to the tournament, Scheffler had announced that he would leave the tournament if his wife were to go into labor, prompting "did scheffler have a baby" to become a breakout search.
Ashutosh Sharma
The Punjab Kings batsman was the top trending IPL player globally in April. He made his IPL debut on April 4th, scoring 31 runs with a strike rate of 182.35.

The Los Angeles Lakers are the most searched NBA Playoffs team in the US in April.
